Ugh. I am so bad at updating this thing. Maybe I should aim to try and update at least once a month...
Well, I've done a lot of art since my last post and I guess I'll post some of it soon (hopefully), but for now I'll focus on my newest newest stuff. Then I'll get to the Heroes Con stuff and some pics. So I'll make a few posts instead of one long massive one.
First I'll start with some of the sample pages I put in my portfolio to bring with me to Heroes Con this year.
Since I helped out with color assists on the Marvel What If? Mike Wieringo issue, I had access to the script. As each page came in, it was interesting to me to see the way other artists interpreted the pages/panels, which were oftentimes far different than I envisioned them in my head as I read through the script myself. Art is cool that way.
So I thought I would pick a batch of pages and draw them as I saw them in my own head. Here we go:
Right now I'm getting ready to work on a new batch of pages to bring with me to San Diego in a month. It's been a few years since I was last at the SDCC, and it is expensive getting there, but it's something I've gotta do. I have to at least say I tried to get a portfolio review. Fingers crossed!
